WHAT TO EXPECT DURING WORSHIP AT FIRST CHIRSTIAN

It is our hope that your worship experience at First Christian will be enjoyable and passionate.  We invite the Holy Spirit into our hearts and our minds when we join together to praise God.

Our worship service is traditional in format. While we most often sing traditional hymns we enrich our service by occasionally including modern praise and worship songs. 

 We use our announcement time to be sure all attendees know about important events. At this time we also take special prayer requests. Please feel free to raise your hand and share a special joy or concern if you feel comfortable. These will be included during our time of prayer.  We end our pastoral prayer with the Lord's Prayer.  During the Lord's Prayer we say debts and debtors.

For Children: Children of all ages begin worship with the adults in the sanctuary. All of our children's programs take place in the Massie House directly west of the sanctuary.  After the children’s time in the service, they go to either the nursery or to Children’s Church with the special leader of the week.
